Pinnacle Tax LLC is a tax preparation and accounting business owned by Alice McElhinney, EA. Alice earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Salem State University in 1979.  She began a new professional journey by joining her husband to start a Certified Public Accounting practice in 1991.   She returned to the classroom taking accounting and computer classes at Bentley University.  In 1995 Alice became an Enrolled Agent – America’s only federally licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation and also have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS.   It was only natural for Alice to start her own practice when her husband retired.  Alice has a home office in Melrose, Massachusetts.

Alice is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents, National Association of Tax Practitioners and the National Association of Enrolled Agents.  She is a past Director for the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents as well as a past member of the MaSEA Education committee.  Alice is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Her continual investment of time and resources in professional continuing education, state-of-the-art computer technology and extensive business relationships is indicative of her commitment to excellence.

Alice and her husband currently reside in Melrose, MA close to her hometown of Woburn, MA.   She enjoys spending time with her family when she isn’t working with clients.  On weekends, you can often find her playing golf, tennis or pickleball.  She is a longtime member of the North Conway Country club in NH.
